Murphy Markham

Prior to joining EnCap in 2006, Murphy Markham was managing director and group head of JPMorganChase’s Oil & Gas Finance Group. He previously ran Bank One’s Oil & Gas Group and served Bank of America for 22 years, with his last position being managing director, Energy Banking Group. Markham has a B.B.A. in finance from Texas Tech University and a MBA in accounting from the University of Houston. He serves on the board of directors of the Independent Petroleum Association of America, the Independent Petroleum Association of Mountain States, the Dallas Petroleum Club Wildcat Committee and several EnCap portfolio companies. Markham is an active member of the Dallas and Fort Worth Wildcatters and ADAM Energy Forum.
